Inside Our Sample Room: From Idea to First Sample

From a design idea to a garment you can actually see and touch.

For fashion brands, the first sample is an important step. It is where an idea starts to become a real garment.

At Benancy Garment, our sample team works closely with customers to turn designs, measurements and specifications into a first sample for review.

1. From Design to Sample

Every sample starts with the customer's design and requirements.

We review the design, measurements, fabric and construction details before making the first sample.

If something is unclear, we communicate with the customer before moving forward.

Clear details make a better starting point.

2. Pattern Making

The pattern is developed based on the approved measurements and design.

The pattern maker pays attention to the shape, proportions and construction of the garment.

A good pattern is the foundation of a good fit.

3. Cutting & Sewing the Sample

Once the pattern is ready, the fabric is cut and the sample is assembled in our sample room.

At this stage, we pay close attention to the construction and workmanship.

The goal is to bring the design to life as accurately as possible.

4. First Sample

The first sample gives the customer a chance to review the actual garment.

We can check the fit, measurements, fabric, workmanship and overall appearance before bulk production.

If adjustments are needed, we make the changes and develop the next version.

From Idea to Garment

Design → Pattern → Cutting → Sewing → First Sample

Sample development is an important part of the production process.

At Benancy Garment, we take the time to understand each design and work through the details before bulk production begins.

Good garments start with a good sample.
